Position title: Maintenance Fitter Location: Cooma, NSW (Monbeef Processing Facility) Employment type: Permanent – Full Time Salary: $36.65 - $46.27 per hour (experience dependant) Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Applications close: Tuesday 26 May 2026. We are seeking multiple Maintenance Fitters to support the safe and reliable operation of the Monbeef processing facility. These hands on roles focus on breakdown response, fault finding, and preventative maintenance across plant and equipment. You’ll work within established maintenance systems where safety, uptime, and workmanship are key priorities. These roles offer stability and consistent work for trade qualified fitters. Your new day-to-day: • Respond quickly and effectively to mechanical breakdowns across plant equipment • Carry out preventative maintenance activities as part of the site maintenance program • Apply strong fault finding and problem solving skills to minimise equipment downtime • Complete maintenance tasks accurately and record all work in MaintainX • Work constructively and cooperatively within the maintenance team • Liaise with other departments and contractors as required to complete works • Maintain a consistent focus on safety in all maintenance activities What you'll need: • A current trade qualification (Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade) • Proven ability to fault find, diagnose, and resolve mechanical issues • Practical understanding of plant, equipment, and production environments • A strong commitment to safety, procedures, and quality standards • Reliability, accountability, and the ability to work effectively within a team • Experience in food processing or manufacturing environments (highly regarded) What’s on offer: • Weekly payroll with overtime opportunities • A stable, long term role with a well-established Australian business • A supportive team environment where your contribution is valued • Ongoing training and development to support your career progression • Access to a Salary Packaging Benefits Program Shift Times: We're looking for team to support both morning and evening shifts (times below): • Morning: 6am to 2pm • Evening: 3pm to 11pm Next steps: Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis – so if you’re ready to step into a role where your skills can make a real impact and your career can continue to grow, we’d love to hear from you.
