Operations Officer Role Summary An excellent opportunity exists for a Treasury Operations Officer to join a high‑performing and fast‑moving operations team. This position is ideal for candidates with prior experience in Treasury Operations or Funding environments who demonstrate strong attention to detail, clear and effective communication skills, and a disciplined approach to risk management and compliance. Key Responsibilities Facilitate and manage the settlement of payments via RITS and Austraclear systems. Monitor and manage RITS queues throughout the day, proactively identifying and escalating settlement issues. Ensure treasury currency accounts and daily positions are accurately reconciled and sufficiently funded within required timeframes. Investigate, follow up on, and escalate failed or unresolved transactions. Execute money market borrowing and lending settlements in line with agreed terms. Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders through email and telephone to resolve discrepancies efficiently. Collaborate with treasury desks, financial institutions, counterparties, and internal operational teams. Research and resolve nostro account issues and cash breaks where discrepancies exist between systems and ledgers. Prepare and complete daily operational and exception reporting. Maintain strong adherence to team procedures, internal controls, and governance standards. Skills and Experience Required Demonstrated experience with RITS and Austraclear systems is highly desirable. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook. High level of written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and perform under pressure. Strong focus on control, accuracy, and risk mitigation. Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, time‑critical environment. Capability to recognise issues early and escalate appropriately to management and trading desks. Confidence in managing relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients. Flexibility to work extended or varied hours when business requirements demand. Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Adaptable mindset with a genuine willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
