More about this role As a member of our Corporate Team, you will be responsible for converting both assigned reactive and proactive corporate event opportunities to achieve individual sales and revenue targets. Key responsibilities include: • Achieving individual sales and revenue targets through proactive business development and effective management of inbound enquiries • Delivering a high standard of service to existing and prospective clients, identifying opportunities to maximise value and build long term relationships • Actively contributing to customer relationship management initiatives and supporting ongoing sales growth strategies • Maintaining accurate and up to date client and event data within Momentus, ensuring compliance with BCEC processes and reporting standards • Managing all client and internal communications in a timely, clear, and professional manner • Preparing and finalising event documentation to ensure a smooth handover to the Event Planning Department • Representing BCEC at selected trade shows and industry events to support lead generation and brand awareness This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of corporate events, develop strong relationships within the Queensland market, and build a solid foundation for future career progression within BCEC. You will ideally have experience selling within the Brisbane or broader Queensland corporate events market, with a good understanding of local client expectations, buying cycles, and industry trends You will also demonstrate: • Proven experience in sales within a major event venue, hotel, or similar environment • Confidence conducting day to day sales activities including phone, email, virtual, and in person client meetings • A sound understanding of the Queensland corporate meetings and events landscape and competitor set • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail • The ability to analyse sales activity and results to identify trends and opportunities • A collaborative mindset and a genuine commitment to delivering great client experiences • Experience using Momentus or a similar CRM system ABOUT US Brisbane is heading into an amazing period of growth and change, culminating in the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
