Senior Azure Data Engineer $150k–$165k Super Sydney | Hybrid Permanent role An excellent opportunity for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to step into a role with genuine ownership across a modern data platform. This position combines hands‑on engineering with responsibility for solution design, integration standards, and delivery quality. You’ll be working across a cloud‑first data environment, helping improve how data is integrated, managed, and used across the business. It’s a strong option for someone who enjoys staying technical but wants more influence over how things are built and delivered. What you’ll do Build and maintain data integration pipelines using Azure Data Factory Deliver ETL/ELT solutions across Azure Synapse Analytics Apply best‑practice data platform and data lake architecture patterns Define and maintain technical standards and solution designs Work closely with stakeholders to prioritise data initiatives Guide and review externally delivered data engineering work Monitor and improve data quality, performance and reliability What you’ll need Strong hands‑on experience as an Azure Data Engineer Solid experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Strong SQL and understanding of data warehousing principles Experience delivering and supporting production data pipelines Confident working with stakeholders and taking ownership of outcomes Nice to have Exposure to Microsoft Fabric Experience modernising legacy data solutions Power BI or analytics platform support Python, PySpark or CI/CD exposure If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, apply now or reach out directly for a confidential discussion to liam.griffiths@halcyonknights.com.au
