CM contributes funding and provides project support to critical church-run initiatives in Africa, Asia, Oceania, and South America, as well as remote dioceses within Australia. Impact you will have in this role The Trusts and Foundations Officer is a newly created role, critical to strengthening and growing income from trusts and foundations. Working closely with the Philanthropy Manager and wider Philanthropy team, you will lead the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of both new and existing funding partners. With a strong focus on research, prospecting, and funding alignment, you will develop compelling grant applications, manage submissions and reporting, and oversee effective grant management and acquittals. This is a true greenfield opportunity, offering the chance to shape and build a program with significant growth potential. We are open to candidates with direct fundraising experience, as well as those with transferable skills across government, grants, bid writing or program management. Key Responsibilities Support the design and development of a best-practice Trusts and Foundations program Identify, research, and assess aligned funding opportunities, working with external grants partners Develop high-quality grant applications and EOIs, ensuring strong alignment to funder priorities Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather accurate content, budgets, and impact stories Manage a forward pipeline of opportunities, including timelines, calendars and forecasting Monitor and report on grant performance, ensuring timely acquittals and funder updates Build and steward strong relationships with trusts and foundations, supporting long-term partnerships Track and maintain accurate data, reporting and systems (e.g. Salesforce, Monday.com, GEMS) Contribute to financial targets, program growth, and future funding opportunities Ensure compliance with ethical fundraising standards, risk management and safeguarding practices Skills and Experience Relevant experience or qualifications in fundraising, marketing, or business, with a track record of achieving targets Ability to identify, research and qualify funding prospects, and interpret grant guidelines and eligibility criteria Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grant writing and reporting Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities Proven ability to analyse data, gather insights and use findings to drive outcomes Financial literacy, with the ability to interpret budgets and communicate project costings Highly organised with strong project management skills across multiple stakeholders and timelines Collaborative team player with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships Proactive, outcomes-driven and committed to continuous learning and best practice Self-motivated, resilient, and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure Strong digital and CRM skills, with attention to detail and accuracy Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain) Applications Please direct all enquiries to Kristina Baric at Impact Advising on kristina@impactadvising.com.au Impact Advising is committed to creating diverse and inclusive work environments that reflect the rich tapestry of our communities.
