About this Position: We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to work with our fleet team. You will provide maintenance and servicing a variety of plant and equipment and keep our services and projects to the community running. This is a maximum term contract until the 2nd of October 2026. We are looking for someone with a great attitude that enjoys working on a variety of plant and equipment that wants to contribute to the success of our community. What we trust you to deliver: Safely undertake a range of duties to maintain and repair plant items, vehicles and equipment. Conduct safety checks, complete basic maintenance and maintain records and reports to ensure the safe use of plant items Solve routine problems, refer to standard guidelines and manuals and collaborate with supervisors and managers to resolve complex problems to minimise risk and ensure work goals are achieved. Demonstrate positive behaviours to deliver great outcomes for our customer, our people and the wider community. What you will need to be successful: Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent relevant trade). Demonstrated experience servicing and repairing fleet/plant in a workshop or field service environment. Strong commitment to WHS and safe work practices in a high-risk mechanical workshop setting.
