This is a Country Product Head, Payments, Services - Director - SYDNEY role with Citi based in Sydney, NSW, AU Citi Role Seniority - senior, director More about the Country Product Head, Payments, Services - Director - SYDNEY role at Citi The Country Product Head is a senior management level position responsible for managing a broad range of Product Management employees, setting strategy and providing direction, leadership and budgetary management, etc. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the development of product plans, strategies, and tactics while coordinating product lines through product life-cycles in coordination with the broader Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position. Responsibilities: Manage multiple teams within a country, group of countries, and region, including management of people, budget, and planning as well as manage a matrixed team across key internal areas with direct/indirect reports (e.g. risk, finance, decision management, marketing, operations) Negotiate and make decisions on issues/activities having critical impact/influence on company revenues, capital, or business operations Utilize specialty knowledge to review, analyze, and develop beyond existing solutions Develop plans and execute functional strategies for large/complex country, multiple countries, or business requiring coordination and integration across units, as well as provide input into strategic decisions affecting the operations within region/business Ensure solid partnerships and cross selling opportunities across range of products such as banking products, cash management, foreign exchange, credit, capital markets, and wealth management to deliver comprehensive services and solutions for clients Establish and maintain relationships with risk, business risk, compliance, and other relevant groups within Citi, as well as develop and ensure execution of the business strategy, and manage risk and compliance Partner with other global, regional, and country leaders to share best practices and drive business strategies, solutions, and client centric solutions to differentiate Citi in the marketplace and achieve substantial growth targets for the business Engage in internal and external negotiations Attract, motivate, develop, and retain executive talent Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards. Qualifications: 15 years of relevant experience 8-10 years of managerial experience Experience managing across multi-function or global business Experience managing in a large, complex and matrixed organization Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the industry, banking, and investment products Working knowledge of different systems, theories, and practices relevant to a function Practical experience of multiple business cycles Knowledge of industry and competitor products/services Knowledge of strategic direction of the business and functions across regions combined with solid conceptual/practical grounding in function and/or area of expertise Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication Demonstrated internal and external negotiation skills Education: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience Master’s degree preferred Job Family Group: Product Management and Development Job Family: Product Management Time Type: Full time Most Relevant Skills Please see the requirements listed above.
