About the role We have an exciting opportunity in the Water Regulation and Compliance Team at IPART for a Principal Analyst, Regulation and Compliance, IPART Officer Grade F. Reporting to the Manager, Public Water Utilities, the role is responsible for overseeing compliance and regulation work for the three public water utilities: Sydney Water, Hunter Water and WaterNSW. As a senior member of the team, you will have day-to-day responsibility for managing the licence review process, developing audit scopes, overseeing audit programs and liaising with key stakeholders to make a significant contribution to the objectives of the team. In this role, you will be required to: Lead the delivery of the Hunter Water licence review, including a new licence, customer contract, reporting manual and the report to the Minister, to established quality and timeframes. Undertake analysis using a risk-based approach to help make decisions regarding regulatory and compliance-related matters. Undertake and lead compliance audits, including stakeholder engagement, analysis and reporting requirements. Prepare and present written briefings to senior staff and the Tribunal (our decision maker). Prepare publicly available guidance to support the licence review process. You can find out more in the Role Description . The salary range for this role is $148,961 to $158,157 plus employer's contribution to superannuation and leave loading. An increase to this salary is scheduled from 1 July 2026, in line with C2024-07 Crown Employees (Public Sector - Salaries 2024) Award .
