The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support delivery within the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) program. This role operates within a complex Defence environment, driving sustainment and capability outcomes across critical systems. The GWEO portfolio plays a critical role in supporting the Australian Defence Force (ADF) by delivering and sustaining guided weapons capabilities that enhance national security and operational readiness. The program works closely with Defence stakeholders and industry partners to ensure capability is delivered efficiently and aligned to strategic priorities. You will play a key role in coordinating project activities, managing stakeholders, and ensuring delivery aligns with scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end project management across scope, schedule, and delivery Develop and manage project plans and documentation Drive risk and issue management across the project lifecycle Oversee budget management, forecasting, and cost control Support sustainment delivery within a Defence SPO environment Apply and align delivery with SDMM frameworks Demonstrate strong commercial acumen in managing contracts and delivery obligations As the ideal candidate you will bring: Experience with Defence procurement frameworks, particularly ASDEFCON Strong commercial management skills, including planning and coordination Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities Sound understanding of legal, regulatory, and industry standards Proficiency in commercial management tools and systems Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance and Australian citizenship required to be eligible.
