We have an opportunity for an Analyst – Economics & Data Analytics to join our Development, Planning and Economics (DPE) team within Advisory . This role is ideal for an early career professionalearly-career who is passionate about the intersection of economics, data analytics and real‑world decision‑making , and who wants to build a career working on meaningful projects that make a lasting impact. The opportunity As an Analyst, you’ll support our DPE team across a range of project and proposal work, applying economic thinking and data analytics to help solve complex client challenges. You’ll work alongside experienced consultants, learning how to turn detailed analysis into clear, compelling insights that inform strategy, policy and investment decisions. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll build strong technical foundations while developing your consulting, communication and collaboration skills. What you’ll be doing Supporting project teams with economic and data analytics tasks , particularly where the two disciplines intersect Analysing data and applying economic theory to help identify opportunities, constraints and solutions for our clients Assisting with the preparation of high‑quality reports , translating technical analysis into clear, concise narratives Working collaboratively with colleagues across WSP’s broader Advisory and technical teams Participating in our Emerging Professionals (EP) learning, networking and development program Building time management skills to balance a varied workload across projects Undertaking formal and self‑paced training to grow your technical and professional capability About you You’re analytical, curious and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in economics, data and how they shape places and communities. You’ll bring: A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Economics, with strong exposure to data science or data analytics 1–3 years’ work experience Strong skills in Excel and Python Clear and confident written communication skills A willingness to learn, seek feedback and continuously improve The ability to work collaboratively and take ownership of tasks under guidance Why WSP?
