Our Finance Team is seeking a Coordinator Expenditure. Purpose: This position works closely with the CFO to support Council’s financial integrity, sustainability and effective financial governance while ensuring compliance with statutory and organisational obligations. About the role: Ensure appropriate financial controls and reconciliations are maintained across the expenditure cycle including accounts payable, payroll interfaces, asset accounting and taxation compliance. Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, processes and automation to enhance efficiency, data integrity and internal control. Coordinate, prepare and complete the annual financial statements ensuring compliance with the OLG Code of Accounting Practice, Australian Accounting Standards and associated OLG guidelines for local government finance to satisfy external audit requirements. About you: Tertiary degree qualifications in accounting (CPA and/or CA membership) with experience in a similar role. Demonstrated experience in coordination and completion of local government annual financial statements including a comprehensive working knowledge of IPPE and Employee Benefit Provisions notes. Proven experience and comprehensive working knowledge in fixed asset accounting including undertaking annual fair value assessment, revaluation coordination and completion.
