The Client SE Electrix is a reputable electrical commercial and residential trade services business located in Berwick VIC 3806. They seek an experienced Electrician to join their team. The Role This is a full-time position with an annual salary ranging from $77,000 - $80,000 depending on experience plus superannuation. Responsibilities Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring systems, equipment and fixtures in residential and commercial premises in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules Interpret electrical drawings, specifications and site instructions to plan layouts for power, lighting, communications and control systems Diagnose electrical faults using testing equipment and implement corrective actions to restore safe operation Install switchboards, circuit protection devices, distribution boards and earthing systems Perform cable runs, conduit installation, cable tray work and termination of low voltage systems Upgrade existing electrical installations including rewiring, meter panels and load balancing Install lighting systems, emergency lighting, exit signage and energy efficient solutions Carry out testing, commissioning and certification of electrical installations prior to handover Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Respond to service callouts for breakdowns, outages and urgent electrical hazards Coordinate with builders, site supervisors and other trades to ensure project sequencing and compliance Maintain accurate job records, test results and compliance documentation Adhere strictly to WHS procedures including lockout tagout and safe isolation practices Provide technical advice to clients on electrical safety, system performance and upgrade options Requirements Relevant AQF trade qualifications Current unrestricted electrical licence in the relevant state or territory Minimum 2 years post qualification experience as a licensed electrician in commercial and residential environments At least 2 years experience performing complex fault finding, switchboard work and system upgrades Minimum 2 Years experience interpreting electrical drawings and coordinating with construction teams on active sites At least 2 years experience independently managing service callouts and compliance testing Strong knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and Australian electrical safety regulations Experience with testing instruments such as insulation resistance testers, multimeters and earth fault loop testers Competence in installing RCDs, surge protection and energy efficient electrical systems White Card and demonstrated WHS compliance capability Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work unsupervised on live sites Valid driver licence and ability to travel between job locations Have at least one contactable work referee
