Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Area Practice Manager is responsible for ensuring our CBD and Bondi Dental Centers operate efficiently and productively. You’ll achieve this through effective workforce planning, management of patient appointment books, and serving as an escalation point for employment and patient matters. Key Responsibilities Provide coordinated leadership to our CBD and Bondi Dental Centers, ensuring efficient and productive operations. Lead, coach, and mentor support staff, participating in performance reviews alongside the Operations Manager. Meet KPI targets including customer service and financial objectives, manage rosters and consumables for optimum resource use. Support staff development through training and foster a learning culture across the Centers. Ensure efficient rostering and leave management, with new staff inducted and trained. Resolve non-clinical complaints, escalate issues beyond your authority to the Operations Manager. Maintain WHS compliance, promptly report hazards, and participate in health and safety activities. Plan and direct operations to achieve patient access, quality standards, and optimal appointment book management. Drive employee performance, implement and manage change, and celebrate staff achievements. Skills, Experience and Qualifications Essential: Experience managing day-to-day operations in a Dental Centre environment. Background in dental assisting, reception, or administration in a dental setting. Proven leadership skills and ability to drive customer service outcomes. Strong understanding of occupational health and safety within dentistry. Highly customer-centric, confident, positive, and resilient leader. Experience working with multicultural staff and consumers. Desirable: Experience with quality management and improvement systems, ideally maintaining ISO standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
