We’re looking for compassionate and experienced Dementia Respite Assistants to join our team at our Ipswich centre. About the Role This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll support clients in a centre-based respite setting—building genuine connections, encouraging participation, and helping create meaningful, enjoyable days. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting frail aged clients and people living with dementia in a welcoming, engaging environment Providing centre-based respite care Building strong, trusting relationships with clients and their families Encouraging independence and participation in meaningful activities Working alongside a supportive team to help every client have a “good day” What You’ll Bring Experience supporting older people and those living with dementia (community, respite, or residential) Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or similar Strong communication skills and a kind, patient approach Current First Aid & CPR Driver’s Licence A genuine passion for person-centred care Availability Our centres operate Monday to Sunday. Flexibility to work afternoons, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts will be highly regarded.
