The Opportunity They seek to hire a Director of Finance to lead the finance team and ensure sound fiscal financial management of the college. This key leadership role is appointed by the Principal and will report to the Dean of Business Operations. Key responsibilities of this role will include; Prepare monthly financial, management and Board reports with clear analysis and recommendations Lead, mentor and develop the Finance team Build strong relationships with Department Heads and support a business partnering approach Oversee general ledger activities, including bank accounts, investments and credit cards Support the Dean of Business Operations with cashflow forecasting, budgeting, modelling and business case Assist with WIP reporting, project tracking and capital expenditure Identify and drive continuous improvement, automation and efficiency opportunities Oversee payroll to ensure timely payments and compliance with legal requirements Maintain strong governance, controls and financial discipline to minimise risk Lead the annual audit and ensure compliance with regulatory, tax and statutory obligations Support the Dean with funding requests, reporting and key projects Qualifications and Experience CA/ CPA qualifications are essential as well as a commitment to ongoing professional development and the mission and values of Terrace as a contemporary Catholic faith community. You have solid technical accounting ability, a strong work ethic and commercial acumen. On a personal level you are a proactive and positive professional who sets high standards and prides themselves on leading by example and supporting your team to similarly strive for excellence.
