The role: We are seeking a Senior Estimator with strong experience in Transport and Main Roads (TMR) infrastructure projects to support our growing pipeline of civil works. You will play a key role in preparing competitive tender submissions, developing delivery methodologies, and contributing to bid strategies for major road and civil infrastructure projects. Your everyday: Lead accurate, competitive tender submissions for civil infrastructure projects, reviewing documentation and preparing detailed cost estimates. Develop construction methodologies, staging, and traffic management strategies that deliver safe, efficient, and buildable outcomes. Identify and manage project risks and opportunities, recommending appropriate allowances and value-engineering solutions to strengthen commercial outcomes. Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and build strong industry partnerships. Collaborate with internal teams and senior leadership to shape bid strategy, ensuring innovative, commercially sound, and on-time submissions, particularly for TMR projects. Who are you? 5–10 years’ experience in civil construction estimating or project delivery, with expertise in road and TMR projects. Proven track record in estimating or delivering large-scale civil projects ($20M). Demonstrated experience with TMR standards, specifications, and tendering requirements. Strong commercial acumen, capable of influencing bid strategy and project outcomes. Current driver’s licence and willingness to undertake site visits. Job Description The Senior Estimator leads the preparation of detailed cost estimates for complex civil infrastructure projects. This role ensures accuracy in pricing, risk assessment, and scope definition, supporting strategic bids and commercial decisions.
