NEP Australia is currently looking for a Field Technician – Bunker and VAR to be responsible for the maintenance, logistics coordination, efficient setup, operational condition, calibration, and signal standards of the NRL Bunker & Football VAR-Centre Field Kits and other associated equipment assigned to projects. The position The Field Technician – Bunker & VAR is primarily responsible for the maintenance, logistics coordination, efficient setup, operational condition, calibration, and signal standards of the NRL Bunker & Football VAR-Centre Field Kits and other associated equipment assigned to projects. This is a full-time role and you will work regularly on weekends and interstate travel may be required. Key Responsibilities But Not Limited To Preparation and maintenance of Bunker / VAR Kits with Support of Engineering team Ability to deploy and power all associated equipment. Assisting Resources department with allocation & logistics of kits Assist Project Manager with allocation & logistics of kits, and rostering as required Basic understanding of Signal Flow from FIELD to VAR & BUNKER environments Basic understanding configuration of transmission signals generated to & from the VAR & BUNKER Basic fault finding and troubleshooting of equipment failures Manage and engage with key clients as necessary Submit timely technical reports at completion of rounds Document and disseminate technical changes to relevant broader Engineering group as necessary Maintain and escalate equipment failure to relevant team members Train & Upskill new or existing freelance staff as necessary Required Skills And Attributes Minimum of 2 years’ experience in TV Broadcast is desired. VSM knowledge and experience with IP Technology is preferred. Knowledge of NRL and Football preferred.
