About the Position: WorkPac are seeking experienced Project Planner for a Perth based role. This role is offering a Monday to Friday roster, with adhoc site travel for a 12 month duration. Key Responsibilities Include: Carry out the functional duties necessary for the daily implementation of project scheduling functions across regional programs of projects. This will include schedule management, schedule change management, schedule contingency management, schedule risk management, forecast schedule estimates, schedule progress status and reporting. Assisting the Specialist Project Controls and Project Lead/Manager in managing the approval, prioritising, and executing of work timeframes, technically and contractually. Be proactive and bold to raise areas of concern to the Specialist Project Controls and Project Lead/Manager to avoid surprises. Interact with internal and external clients at regional levels in line with Rio Tinto Values. Develop and maintain a master schedule of all projects in the assigned portfolio. Report on assigned portfolio and individual study/project progress. Ensure compliance to the planning and scheduling guideline by the project owners. Assists with the creation, maintenance and reporting on the project/s plan and schedule. Analyse each study phase, identify and evaluate schedule risks that can derail study/project delivery and provide solutions for prevention Participates in project schedule review meetings and update schedules. Assists in maintaining the integrity of integrated project schedules. Supports development of regular schedule reports, including proper professional analysis and deviations to original study/project plan Assists in the development and update of progress and commodity curves. Supports compliance with standardised processes, systems and tools. Maintains the relationship with contracting and other project planning stakeholders. Collaborates with the cost control, contracts and estimating groups to ensure that implications of changes are well articulated and understood. Provides technical support to project stakeholders. Skills & Experience Required: Relevant site construction experience, certification, diploma or degree acceptable to a recognised and relevant professional body. Professional certification or planned pathway to professional certification with a relevant professional body. Proficient in Primavera P6 project management and scheduling software. 5 years of experience in project controls delivery. 5 years of overall professional experience, preferably in mining or large scale studies within a matrix organisation.
