This organisation is a publicly owned utilities provider delivering critical services to the Canberra community and surrounding region. They are currently undergoing a significant digital and data transformation, positioning data as a key enabler of future service delivery The Opportunity As part of this transformation, Leadership & People Enablement has been identified as a strategic priority, with workforce planning playing a key role in enabling this. This is a greenfield initiative, with no existing workforce planning capability in place. An external consulting agency has recently delivered the strategy and frameworks the focus now is on building the capability and bringing it to life. To support this, the team is bringing in a data-led Power BI Analyst to shape how workforce insights are delivered across the business. You’ll be supported by a highly experienced, positive and engaging manager with deep SME knowledge in workforce planning who will you give you the business context while you focus on the data. The Role This is a hands-on data role focused on building Power BI dashboards and shaping workforce insights for this. You’ll work across multiple data sources from Aurion (including legacy) & ELMO to build dashboards and reporting that inform workforce decisions at an operational and executive level. Key responsibilities include: Build dashboards and reports in Power BI to support workforce planning Extract, clean and wrangle data from multiple systems using Excel & Power Query Translate data into clear insights to support business decision-making The Ideal Person This role will suit an experienced Data Analyst (3 years) who has worked with workforce/HR data or is interested in learning this space rather than a workforce planner who uses dashboards.
