Role Overview The Payroll Officer is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services, supporting the Supervisor Payroll to ensure all employees are paid in line with industrial agreements, legislation, and organisational policies. Key Responsibilities • Process end-to-end payroll, including new starters, terminations, adjustments, and leave audits • Ensure payroll calculations comply with industrial agreements and legislative requirements • Maintain and update HRIS/payroll systems, including employee records and entitlements • Provide advice to staff and managers on pay, leave, superannuation, and salary packaging • Manage payroll reconciliations, payslips, and reporting obligations (including ATO requirements) • Process payments to payroll-related creditors and assist with Workers Compensation administration • Support system improvements, reporting, and payroll system maintenance (testing/upgrades) Ensure compliance with WHS, EEO, and organisational policies Key Requirements • This role suits an experienced payroll professional who can manage end-to-end payroll in a structured environment, provide expert advice, and ensure compliance while maintaining high accuracy and service standards. • Experience in payroll administration using a computerised system • Strong understanding of industrial agreements and payroll legislation • Exposure to superannuation and Workers Compensation processes • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and numeracy skills • Strong organisation and time management, with ability to meet deadlines • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills • Ability to work independently and in a team, with discretion and confidentiality Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) We are looking for Payroll Officer to work with our client in State Government space in Perth!
