Company Accountant / Management Accountant The Opportunity A growing residential builder is looking for a hands-on Company Accountant / Management Accountant to take full ownership of the finance function. Working closely with the owners, you’ll play a key role in driving financial performance, improving systems, and supporting strategic decisions. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on structure, accountability, and getting things done properly. What You’ll Be Doing Own the end-to-end finance function Manage QBCC / MFR reporting & compliance Deliver monthly reporting, budgets & forecasts Take control of cashflow & forward planning Lead job costing, WIP & margin analysis Oversee BAS, IAS & statutory requirements Manage payroll Partner with external accountants & advisors Identify and drive process improvements Provide clear, commercial insights to leadership What You Bring Proven experience in residential construction / building Strong job costing & WIP reporting experience (essential) CA/CPA qualified (or working towards) Advanced Excel skills Systems experience (Xero, Databuild or similar) Confident communicator who can engage at all levels Leadership experience or the ability to step into it Highly organised, detail-driven, and accountable Practical, commercial, and solutions-focused The Business A well-established, family-owned builder delivering quality homes across South East Queensland.
