About Our Client Our client, an international manufacturer of high precision engineered components are currently recruiting a Qualified Mechanical Fitter for their Mulgrave Facility. About The Job Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this role is responsible for a wide range of Assembly, Fitting & Inspection of components. The key functions for this role are as follows Assemble components using standard work procedures Operate general hand tools (electric & pneumatic) Operate milling and drilling machines Operate surface and bench grinders Remove and replace defective parts and components Fitting and assembling components Dismantle, repair, overhaul and assembly Assembly of bearings on shafts and gearboxes onto machines About You Qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III or Equivalent) Experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a manufacturing environment Experience in production or assembly environments Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions Read, apply technical documentation supplied Ability in identifying the Root Cause of equipment failures. Takes an active approach to problem solving Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize work as required.
