You will play a key part in maintaining the Port’s operational capability and supporting the broader maritime network. The TSHD Brisbane operates predominately along the coast of Queensland 24/7, 365 days a year, with two crews working 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, offering a balanced and predictable roster while leading one of the Port’s most important operational assets. Authentic, skilled, and great with people: here’s who we’re looking for. You’re an experienced Master and while Trailer Suction Hopper Dredger experience isn’t essential, it’s definitely a bonus. You hold a Master Unlimited (1), have your ECDIS endorsement, and maintain a current AMSA Certificate of Medical Fitness. You lead with clarity and confidence, building trust and creating an environment where people perform at their best. You set the standard for safety, leading by example and making sure everyone understands and takes ownership of health, safety, and wellbeing requirements. You’re across all things risk and compliance, and you operate in line with all relevant maritime laws and regulations. You’re a natural collaborator who quickly builds strong working relationships.
