What you will bring An experienced, confident leader who manages people well, keeps teams focussed and is disciplined and accepts responsibility for a busy portfolio is required. You are comfortable balancing competing priorities, engaging a broad stakeholder group and ensuring high-quality outcomes are delivered. To succeed you require: Proven leadership capability, with experience leading subject matter expert professionals; An ability to set direction, manage performance and create accountability across the team; Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to represent your employer externally; Sound judgement, initiative and a practical commonsense approach to solving issues; Prior experience working in policy, agriculture, sustainability, natural resources, environment, industry advocacy or related sectors would be an advantage; An understanding of environmental and sustainability issues relevant to agriculture, with deep sector knowledge viewed favourably. About the role Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the Environment and Sustainability portfolio and provide direction to a small, technically sound team. This is a key role in ensuring priorities are clear, work is coordinated and the portfolio helps deliver CANEGROWERS strategic objectives.
