Your Role as Finance Business Analyst The Finance Business Analyst provides analytical, financial and reporting support to ensure high-quality financial information is delivered across the organisation. Working closely with the Lead - Financial Accountant, this role supports month-end and year-end processes, cashflow reporting, financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting, and contributes to the accuracy, transparency and integrity of financial data. You’ll deliver this role by: Assist with monthly financial reporting, preparing supporting schedules, workpapers, commentary and reconciliations for reporting cycles. Support the preparation of weekly, monthly and rolling cashflow reports. Monitor cash movements, funding receipts, supplier payments and forecast assumptions. Assist with identifying trends, risks and opportunities in liquidity and cash performance. Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments. Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, variance explanations and supporting documentation. Maintain and develop financial models for scenario analysis, cost modelling and multiyear planning. Assist with the development of dashboards and automated reports Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Assist with building annual budgets and periodic forecast updates. Contribute to year-end financial statements by preparing audit ready schedules and evidence. Prepare documentation, reconciliations, evidence and schedules for internal and external audits. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance. Experience in financial analysis, accounting support or management reporting. Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data for decision making. Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and analytics/reporting tools (eg. Power BI). High level of accuracy and attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Well-developed verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly. Strong organisation and time management skills, with the demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines. A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have! CPA of CA accreditation, or equivalent Australian recognition. Experience with TechnologyOne or similar accounting systems.
