Service Technician - Water Treatment | Forrestfield WA Initial phase: Workshop-based in Forrestfield (ASAP start) From July: Transition to site-based work including metro and Pilbara (BHP) deployments Roster: 14 days on / 7 days off - Shifts: 12-hour shifts (5:30am–6:00pm) Employment Type: Casual with potential for permanency for the right candidate. Category 5 is seeking experienced Service Technicians/ Operators - Water Treatment for an opportunity with our client based in Forrestfield WA. This role offers varied field and workshop-based work across water treatment systems supporting key industrial and environmental projects. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and optimisation of water treatment systems Carry out preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns and operational issues Operate plant equipment in line with WHS requirements and site procedures Provide technical support to clients and site personnel Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in safe working condition Ensure efficient day-to-day operation of water treatment systems Respond promptly to breakdowns, inspections, and scheduled maintenance Follow procedures to resolve issues safely and effectively Liaise with supervisors and technicians on job progress and issues Communicate with clients regarding service requirements and updates Maintain accurate service records and complete detailed job reports Report hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly Requirements & Qualifications Trade qualified (Electrical, Mechanical Fitter, Plumbing or similar) Certificate in Water Treatment (desirable) White Card and First Aid (or willingness to obtain) Additional WHS certifications advantageous 3–5 years’ electrical/mechanical maintenance experience Water treatment or environmental services experience highly regarded Strong troubleshooting and field service exposure Strong technical knowledge of water treatment systems Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills Strong communication and client-focused approach Able to work independently and within a team Hands-on, adaptable, and safety focused How to Apply: Please hit "APPLY NOW" submit your resume highlighting your experience.
