Job Description The client Our client is an established, nationally recognised IT Managed Service Provider delivering end-to-end technology solutions to businesses across Australia. With a strong presence in every major market and a reputation for long-term client partnerships, they are now expanding their Perth commercial team and seeking a driven Account Manager to grow both new and existing business. The opportunity This is a commercially focused, client-facing role that blends new business development with account growth. You will be responsible for building a pipeline of prospects, nurturing an existing portfolio, and positioning the company's full suite of IT services, solutions, and hardware to meet client needs. You'll have strong internal support — technical pre-sales, solution architects, and a dedicated sales operations team to assist with quoting and proposals. Key responsibilities New business development - Proactively identify, target, and convert new business opportunities across SMB and mid-market segments in Perth and WA. Account management - Manage and grow a portfolio of existing clients, deepening relationships and identifying opportunities to expand services. Solution selling - Present and position a broad range of IT managed services, cloud solutions, cybersecurity offerings, and hardware to match client requirements. Sales support & quoting - Prepare accurate, professional quotes and proposals, working closely with pre-sales and technical teams to deliver compelling responses. Pipeline management - Maintain an active and up-to-date CRM pipeline, forecast accurately, and report on activity and revenue targets. Collaboration - Work cross-functionally with delivery, technical, and marketing teams to ensure seamless client experiences from prospect through to onboarding Your experience Proven track record in B2B sales, account management, or business development — ideally within IT, technology, or a related sector Comfortable selling a blend of managed services, cloud, cybersecurity, and/or hardware to business stakeholders Strong relationship-builder with the ability to engage C-suite, IT managers, and procurement teams Disciplined pipeline manager with CRM experience and a structured approach to territory management Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working autonomously in a fast-paced environment Experience with quoting tools, proposal writing, or sales support processes is advantageous An existing network across the Perth business community is highly regarded but not essential.
