The company is seeking a talented Senior Systems Engineer with the ability to take charge and run the team in the absence of the Manager. Position Overview: The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure and systems. Working closely with a highly skilled team, you will ensure the seamless performance of the organization's systems, networks, and hardware, providing both support and strategic solutions to meet business needs. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain IT systems, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and scalable. Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and networking issues in a timely manner. Manage and monitor servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with other teams to deploy new systems and enhance existing ones. Implement and maintain system backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies. Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with industry best practices. Provide technical support for system-related incidents, resolving them effectively and efficiently. Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support when required. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience (3 years) as a Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role in an enterprise environment. Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), networking protocols, and hardware management. Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.). Hands-on experience with system automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python). Familiarity with IT security best practices and relevant tools (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS). Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and network issues. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
