16th April, 2026 Cloud Infrastructure Engineer | Nexia Sydney The opportunity We are offering a 6 month contract opportunity for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, with the potential to transition to a permanent role. Reporting to the Head of IT, you will work closely with the team to implement, manage and support the firm’s cloud and infrastructure environment, while also contributing to data analytics support across the business. This role involves hands on management of enterprise software platforms, databases and cloud based systems in a highly client facing internal environment. The role Manage and support the firm’s cloud and hybrid infrastructure environment, including availability, security, and performance Maintain existing systems and perform data and system migrations Ensure cloud platforms, databases, and software systems comply with security, quality, and disaster recovery standards Manage database administration, configuration, reporting, and documentation Test systems and upgrades, resolve errors, and implement improvements as required Support or lead software procurement activities, including tenders and supplier negotiations Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable solutions Develop and implement solutions to improve processes and reduce costs Provide user training and ongoing support across systems and reporting tools About you You are an experienced IT professional with a strong background in both cloud and on‑premise environments. You bring a practical, infrastructure first mindset and are comfortable owning and improving core systems across the business. Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT, with hands on exposure to Microsoft Azure and on premise server infrastructure Qualified with a degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or a related field Microsoft certification in Azure and/or Office 365 is required; server, networking, or database certifications are highly desirable Proven experience implementing and supporting enterprise software and infrastructure solutions Strong understanding of IT standards, security and best practice system design Confident working across software, data, and infrastructure, with the ability to troubleshoot issues end‑to‑end Able to clearly communicate technical concepts and support internal users when required.
