Working in our Operations team, you’ll be helping with the maintenance and presentation of one of our unique open spaces in Melbourne’s South East. The Role: This hands on role is responsible for overseeing the cremation process end-to-end, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant. You will play a key role in supporting families, funeral directors and internal stakeholders during sensitive moments, ensuring care, accuracy and respect in every interaction. You will also support operational efficiency across crematorium services, including equipment maintenance, administration and working across sites during peak periods. Key Responsibilities Manage the cremation process, including verification of documentation and handling of remains Receive and transfer coffins and caskets in line with operational procedures Install and remove memorials, plaques, granite and concrete bases accurately Prepare and package cremated remains for collection Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of equipment and facilities Complete administrative tasks and update records in CCEMS Ensure all work is completed in line with HSW, regulatory and compliance requirements Provide respectful and professional service to families, funeral directors and stakeholders Support other crematorium sites as required during peak periods Your Profile: Current Australian driver’s licence Physically capable of manual handling (up to 25kg) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow process accurately Confident working independently and as part of a team Experience using tools, equipment or working in a hands-on environment Solid computer skills across Microsoft Office Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset Understanding of WHS and risk practices Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, discretion and professionalism What’s on Offer: We offer a fulfilling career with exceptional personal and professional growth opportunities, along with a comprehensive range of benefits: Monthly RDO’s Access to Leadership and Development Programs to foster professional growth and advancement.
