Mechanical Fitter Seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to support the maintenance and reliable operation of industrial machinery within a well-established manufacturing services company. This is a permanent full-time role that prioritises safety and offers stability. About the Role Applicants must hold a trade qualification and have proven mechanical maintenance experience. Hourly rate range: $50 to $55 per hour, with additional penalty rates and overtime available. Work location: Broadly within south-eastern Queensland. Key Responsibilities Start from the workshop or travel directly to various client sites within the region. Perform maintenance and repairs on fixed industrial plant equipment such as conveyors, gearboxes, drums, and bearings. Accurately diagnose mechanical faults and carry out component repairs or replacements efficiently. Carry out basic fabrication and machining tasks, including some welding, as required. Respond promptly to breakdowns at diverse industrial sites including processing plants and batching facilities. Contribute to shutdown maintenance projects during peak seasonal periods.
