We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join a well-regarded not-for-profit organisation on a temporary basis. This position, based near Sydney CBD requires expertise in accounting and finance to support the organisation's financial operations. As a medium-sized entity, they focus on delivering services that make a meaningful impact on the community. They are committed to upholding excellence in their financial and operational processes. Description Prepare and analyse financial reports to support decision-making processes. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Manage month-end and year-end financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Monitor and report on financial performance, including variance analysis. Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives within the organisation. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency. Support audits and liaise with external auditors as required. Profile A successful Accountant should have: Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field. Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency in financial analysis. Experience in the not-for-profit industry or a similar sector. Proficiency in TM1 or PowerBi and advanced Excel skills. Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. Strong communication skills to present financial data clearly and effectively. Job Offer Competitive hourly rate of $50-55 superannuation.
