Are you an experienced automotive finance professional already operating at, or ready to step into, a Financial Controller-level role? We’re partnering with a leading dealership group to secure a Senior Accountant / Financial Controller to oversee financial operations across a multi-site network in South-Western Sydney. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role designed for someone capable of making an immediate impact, with the long-term potential to step into a broader Financial Controller position as the business evolves. Reporting directly to the State Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of financial performance, team leadership, and operational alignment across multiple franchises. This is a fully on-site role, suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment and leads from the front. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of dealership and assistant accountants across multiple entities Oversee full financial reporting cycle including management accounts, reconciliations, BAS, cashflow and forecasting Strengthen financial controls, reporting accuracy and operational processes Partner with senior leadership on budgeting, performance analysis and strategic direction Influence dealership performance through strong stakeholder engagement across departments What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in automotive/dealership accounting at a senior level Current or recent exposure to Financial Controller responsibilities (multi-site highly regarded) CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting or Finance Strong leadership capability with the ability to drive team performance Systems experience (Pentana preferred) and advanced Excel skills What’s On Offer: $150K–$160K Super (negotiable depending on experience) Fully maintained company vehicle (FBT applicable) Direct reporting line to State Financial Controller Clear pathway into a larger Financial Controller or Group-level role Stable, growing dealership group with long-term career potential This is a strategic hire , with the business seeking someone who can not only perform at a high level now, but also grow into a more senior leadership position in the future.
