This is a unique opportunity to play a central operational role in a small, high-integrity organisation, working closely with the Board and contributing directly to its long-term impact. Position As Head of Governance and Operations, you will act as the organisation’s primary operational point of contact, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning, strong governance, and regulatory compliance. You will play a critical role supporting the Board and building efficient administrative systems that underpin the Foundation’s success. Key Responsibilities Support strong governance and Board operations, including meeting coordination, papers, minutes, and maintaining registers in line with ACNC requirements. Own and improve administrative systems, ensuring efficient processes, accurate records, and audit readiness. Manage end-to-end grant administration, including applications, assessments, agreements, reporting, and acquittals. Provide financial administration support, including bookkeeping to trial balance, reconciliations, and Board reporting, while liaising with external advisers. Oversee compliance obligations, including ACNC and ATO reporting, fundraising licences, and maintaining compliance calendars and conflict registers. Act as a key liaison with Directors, advisers, regulators, and grant recipients to ensure smooth and professional operations. Profile You bring experience supporting Boards or senior stakeholders within a charity, foundation, or similarly regulated environment, are highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple priorities independently. You combine strong administrative capability with sound judgement, integrity, and a proactive approach, communicate clearly and build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
