About the company An opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join an established finance function within a large, operationally complex organisation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex reconciliations, developing analytical insights through reporting, and supporting the growth of junior team members within a structured, high‑volume environment. This is an in-office position, 5 days per week. About the role Working as part of a collaborative accounts payable team, you will take ownership of complex supplier statements while also contributing to quality assurance, reporting and team capability building. This is a hands‑on senior role with a strong technical focus and opportunities to influence best practice. Key responsibilities Managing and resolving complex supplier statement reconciliations Maintaining an allocated portfolio of supplier accounts Producing and reviewing reports to support operational and financial decision‑making Reviewing work completed by junior accounts payable team members to ensure accuracy and compliance Supporting onboarding, training and upskilling of new and existing team members Assisting with workflow coordination during peak periods Identifying and contributing to process improvement initiatives About you Demonstrated experience in a senior or complex accounts payable role Strong reconciliation capability, particularly with high‑volume supplier statements Well‑developed reporting and analytical skills Confidence providing guidance and feedback to junior staff High attention to detail and strong time‑management skills Comfortable working in a deadline‑driven, process‑focused environment What’s on offer Salary package of $80,000 – $85,000 per annum plus super 38‑hour working week Flexible daily start time between 7:00am and 9:00am Stable organisation with long‑term career opportunities Supportive and team‑oriented working environment On‑site parking available Conveniently located near arterial road access on Brisbane’s north‑eastern side If you’re an experienced accounts payable professional looking for a senior role where your technical expertise and mentoring skills are valued, this represents a strong next step.
