Your Role as our Training Assistant The Training Assistant supports the effective delivery of The ORCA Project – WMQ’s Work Skills Training service – by assisting with workshops and structured activities that promote engagement, learning, and skill development for young people who benefit from additional support in achieving their work readiness goals. You’ll provide support and assistance to participants and the Employment Coaches by: Assisting in the facilitation and delivery of The ORCA Project - Work Skills Training service - for a diverse cohort of participants, working collaboratively with Employment Coaches and volunteers. Demonstrating awareness of individual learning styles and needs, adjusting content and delivery methods and developing resources. Providing one-on-one support to participants during work experience placements, fostering confidence, skill development, and positive workplace engagement. Organising workdays to ensure optimal use of time and resources, contributing to the achievement of service outcomes. Delivering excellent customer service and actively contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment. This is a part-time role consisting of 15 hours per week and is fixed-term until the 30/06/2026. What We’re Looking For Completed NDIS Quality and Safeguards Worker Orientation Module Understanding of issues, barriers and support requirements relating to employment for adults with disability Essential Requirements Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy) Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
