We require an Electronics Engineer and Electronics Engineering Technician to join our team in Canning Vale, WA. The Electronics Engineer will design, develop, adapt, install, test and maintain electronic components, circuits and systems used for our air-conditioning componentry and related applications. Electronics Engineer key responsibilities include : Design & Development: Create circuit boards (PCBs), components, and systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Engineer Custom Firmware: To emulate native protocols, enabling seamless integration between third-party modules and OEM air conditioning units. Perform Comprehensive: Unit and functional testing to validate firmware stability and hardware interoperability. Project Documentation: Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and design specifications. Reverse Engineering: Of different aircon units and perform unit testing. System Integration: Install, configure, and maintain electronic systems, including embedded software. Testing & Analysis: Model, simulate, and test prototypes to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with standards. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues in electronic devices and systems; Utilize Logic Analyzers: To capture, decode, and document proprietary serial communication protocols. To be considered for the Electronics Engineer position, you will need a relevant qualification commensurate with a bachelor degree or higher qualification and at least one year of relevant post-qualification employment experience. The Electronics Engineering Technician will conduct tests of electronic systems, collect and analyse data, and assemble circuitry systems used for our air-conditioning componentry and related applications in support of our Electronics Engineers. Electronics Engineering Technician key responsibilities include : Design & Assembly and Development: Assisting in developing, prototyping, and constructing electronic circuitry and components, including building and modifying systems and create circuit boards (PCBs), components, and systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Engineer Custom Firmware: To emulate native protocols, enabling seamless integration between third-party modules and OEM air conditioning units. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Repairing, installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing technical issues in electronic systems. System Integration: Install, configure, and maintain electronic systems, including embedded software. Technical Documentation: Preparing detailed diagrams, drawings, and reports on design modifications and component specs. Testing & Analysis: Conducting tests on components and equipment, documenting results, graphing data, and evaluating performance to ensure compliance with specifications. To be considered for the Electronics Engineering Technician position you will need a relevant qualification commensurate with an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma and at least one year of relevant post-qualification employment experience OR at least three years of relevant employment experience.
