Brief details about the position: • Permanent full-time position • 38 hours per week • $75,000 to $85,000 per year superannuation • Located in Sydney CBD Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled cook with expertise in various cuisines and wok cooking. The successful candidate will manage daily kitchen operations and ensure high standards in food preparation and presentation. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare the kitchen for daily service - Manage inventory and food costing - Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance - Ensure compliance with NSW food safety regulations - Supervise the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals - Contribute to menu development - Schedule staff and assist with HR processes, including induction and training for new kitchen team members Qualifications: - Proven knowledge of cooking techniques and practices - Strong leadership skills - Ability to work under pressure - Excellent knife-handling skills Education and Experience: - Formal culinary training or a culinary degree - Previous experience in kitchen management If you have a passion for cooking and meet the above criteria, we would love to hear from you!
