Nicks Restaurant Group is looking for experienced RESTAURANT SUPERVISOR to join this respected and established restaurant group. We are looking for complete professionals who have the ability to work alongside their team and strengthen what has already been instilled. Located in Cockle Bay, this waterfront venue specialises in the freshest Seafood Sydney has to offer. Some of your responsibilities within the role include; 1. To effectively manage all front of house and back of house areas/functions, ensuring profitable sales volume and a pleasant dining experience for all customers. 2. Be aware of methods of operation to improve overall productivity of the Restaurant without impairing quality of service. 3. Maintain a high awareness of the need for exceptional staff behavior, as it will reflect on all other areas during the customer’s visit. 4. Ensure continuous supply of product and essential supplies, and that equipment is maintained in safe, working order at all times. 5. Participate in policymaking as required and to assist in ensuring that all staff maintain all Restaurant policies. 6. Ensure a congenial rapport is maintained with other key personnel and between the staff working in different areas of the Restaurant, in the spirit of teamwork. 7. Ensure all requirements under the law or by regulation are observed by all employees of the Restaurant. 8. Assist in undertaking, with the Restaurant Manager, staff evaluations for all subordinate staff and ensure a detailed succession is in place. 9. Assist with the Restaurant Manager, in organising all Restaurant related staff training. 10. Ensure all requirements under the law or by regulation are observed by all employees of the Restaurant, including, but not limited to RSA, OHS, Fair Work. 11. Maintain good staff morale and regularly hold staff communication meetings to ensure that the staff have a feeling of contribution into the affairs of the Restaurant. 12. Ensure grooming policies and standards of the Restaurant are maintained. 13. Ensure that all Restaurant areas are always left in a neat and tidy order. 14. Ensure that Restaurant records of attendance are correctly followed in Time Target by relevant employees, then authorised daily by the relevant shift supervisor. 15. Observation of sales techniques and ensure a high level of sales competency amongst Restaurant staff. 16. Ensure that the POS system, hardware and software, is at optimum efficiency and report any problems. 17. All Restaurant sales are required to balance to an acceptable and auditable cashiering procedure and conversely need to reconcile to the method of payment of all such sales. 18. Ensure the Restaurant maintains a daily welcome notice of VIPs etc, together with their desired location within the Restaurant. 19. Maintain a constant presence within the Restaurant Floor area during service times, to portray a “welcome” image to customers and to ensure a satisfactory level of control at all times within the Restaurant. 20. To ensure that any problems, which may from time to time occur during service, are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner, with the customer’s best interest being taken into account.
