Practice Receptionist/Practice Manager Carmel Village Doctors is a new medical centre in Carmel Village Shopping Centre in Box Hill. We have the potential for 8 GP rooms, allied health, pathology, cardiologist and 3 more consultation rooms. We are seeking a receptionist for this established medical centre with the opportunity to grow with this business and scope to transition into a practice manager role based on performance and growth of the business. You will be the first point of contact for patients and play a significant role in supporting our medical professionals to co-ordinate bookings. The successful applicant will be responsible for handling all day-to-day matters, general administrative duties, booking patients and responding to queries. What your day will look like: Assisting our lead doctor with operational excellence Overseeing day-to-day practice operations Carrying inductions and in-house training sessions for new staff Overseeing and maintaining diary scheduling in collaboration with the Clinical Team (including waitlist management, booking new clients and rescheduling appointments) Managing clinic operations and addressing doctor queries with a solution-focused approach Requirements: Proven leadership and management experience Strong interpersonal, organisational and time management skills Commitment to exceptional customer service and patient care Experienced in workforce recruitment, rostering, training & development Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Experience in managing nursing and administration staff (preferred but not essential. Compliance with industry regulations and standards. Proficiency in Medicare, DVA, Work Cover, HICAPS, and Private Health Insurance billings. Strong multitasking abilities and effective prioritisation of workflow. A positive, can-do attitude and a drive to make a meaningful impact on our patients and practice. Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff. Familiarity with Best Practice software will be highly regarded.
