Working Capital/Commercial Controller role within a leading global professional services firm, based in Sydney Working Capital Controller (Revenue & Provisioning Focus) Sydney CBD | $150,000 – $170,000 package bonus We are partnering with a leading global professional services firm to recruit a Working Capital Controller into their Sydney office. With an extensive international footprint and deeply integrated operations across APAC, Europe, and the US, this organisation offers a highly collaborative and commercially sophisticated environment. This is a high-impact finance role focused on revenue integrity, WIP management, and IFRS 15 provisioning , sitting at the intersection of technical accounting and commercial insight. The Role This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and recoverability of revenue across the full matter lifecycle . You will work closely with senior stakeholders to provide clarity over WIP, billing appropriateness, and provisioning decisions—helping drive better financial outcomes and reduce downstream write-offs. Key responsibilities include: Review and assess WIP balances , ensuring alignment with recoverability and billing expectations Lead monthly provisioning assessments (WIP and doubtful debt) in line with IFRS 15 Provide insight into matter-level profitability and revenue recognition Partner with internal stakeholders to challenge assumptions around billability and recovery Identify and escalate financial risks across active matters Support consistent application of global policies and financial controls Contribute to ongoing improvement of reporting, processes, and commercial visibility About You You will be a technically strong and commercially aware finance professional who thrives in operating in a judgement-led environment .
