Overview LAND 907 is delivering a critical uplift to Army's heavy armoured capability, including the introduction of the M1A2 SEPv3 Main Battle Tank, M1150 Assault Breacher Vehicle, and M1074 Joint Assault Bridge. While the M1A2 represents a significant upgrade, the transition to a fully digital architecture introduces a step change in capability complexity. The M1150 and M1074 are new platforms entering service with inherent sustainment risks as they mature technically. In parallel, LAND 907 is responsible for the expansion and sustainment uplift of the M88A2 recovery vehicle fleet, increasing from 13 to 23 platforms by December 2026. Current serviceability challenges present a material operational risk, driving the need for structured sustainment planning and capability assurance. This role sits within the Heavy Armour Capability Assurance function, supporting the development of sustainment frameworks, governance structures, and integration across related LAND programs.
