The Claremont Hotel is part of the Vantage Group, which operates 12 venues across Tasmania offering great food, drinks, entertainment and hospitality experiences. What you can expect in a day in this role: In these roles, you will be responsible for attending to enquiries from our gaming patrons and guests, preparing and dispensing beverages, running food, and taking orders, all with exceptional customer service. Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Assisting with gaming functions and operations Assisting patrons with both food and beverage orders and complaints Upholding cleanliness and hygiene standards Taking orders and running food to tables Assisting with large groups or bookings What you will bring to the role: Our ideal candidate will thrive in a busy environment, have a passion for the industry, and provide excellent customer service. We are also looking for: Demonstrated cash handling proficiency A “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn Knowledge of all gaming machine regulations, compliance, operations, and procedures An understanding of food & beverage products and services Current Responsible Service of Gaming Certificate (RSG) Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA) Keno Writer & Gaming Machine Attendant or Senior Keno Writer and Gaming Machine Supervisor Certificates would be advantageous Availability to work a variety of night and weekend shifts, which may include public holidays. A successful candidate in this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
