Senior Chef – Full-Time Baked cafe – Moonah, TAS Baked Gluten Free is a busy café based in Moonah, Tasmania. We offer a full breakfast, brunch and lunch menu, along with cakes, pastries, breads and catering. All of our food is prepared on site in our commercial kitchen. We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on role working across our kitchen during service, preparing a variety of dishes and helping keep things running smoothly. You will be involved in day-to-day kitchen operations, including preparing and cooking meals for dine-in customers, takeaway and catering, as well as supporting menu development and maintaining food quality. About the role: Preparing and cooking breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes during service Helping plan and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer demand Making sure food is presented well and consistently Managing food prep and ensuring everything runs smoothly during service Working with management and front-of-house staff to coordinate service Maintaining food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness at all times Monitoring stock, assisting with ordering and reducing waste Preparing sauces, fillings and other components used across the menu Adapting meals to suit dietary requirements, including strict gluten free preparation Supporting and guiding junior kitchen staff when needed What we’re looking for: A qualified Chef with a relevant qualification Experience working in a busy kitchen Good understanding of food safety and kitchen operations Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and consistency Good communication and time management skills This is a great opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong reputation
