THE ROLE Reporting the Chief Information Officer, the Head of ICT Strategy and Architecture plays a pivotal leadership role in Information and Technology (ITS) Branch. The role is accountable to lead the strategic design, governance and management of the core line of business technologies, platforms, solutions and data assets in user across the various portfolios in the department. The role is responsible for collaborating with the Department of Health to influence the strategic direction of shared corporate platforms to ensure that DFFH's needs are well understood and accommodated. The role will also actively contribute to and influence Whole of Victorian Government ICT strategies. Operating at the senior leader level, this role is critical in establishing and maintaining a bridge between departmental strategy and IT implementation, and ensuring that the data is secure, accurate and actionable across the department. With a strong focus on Enterprise Architecture, Data Architecture, and Information Management, the position drives the development and optimisation of ICT systems and processes that enable seamless information flow, promote data-driven decision-making, and underpin the organisation's broader transformation agenda. The successful candidate will provide strategic oversight, identify emerging technologies, and foster innovation while ensuring alignment with business outcomes and efficient service delivery. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Develops and maintains target state architecture, technology roadmaps that support business strategy and guide technology and data investment decisions primarily for line of business applications.
