The People & Culture, Shared Services division leads the delivery of strategic, people-focused initiatives across Toyota, fostering a safe and inclusive environment where teammates can achieve their full potential. The division provides best‑practice HR consultancy, training, and development services to Toyota employees and OneToyota affiliates through a shared services model. This includes end‑to‑end organisational development supported by professional learning programs, HR advisory services encompassing health and safety, remuneration and benefits, employee relations, and talent acquisition, all underpinned by the deployment of leading HR technologies and systems. The HR Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a key contact for all human resources–related services within their allocated area of responsibility. The role supports the business in achieving its objectives through effective people‑related advice, ensuring consistent, timely, and practical HR support across the employee lifecycle. This role is well suited to an experienced HR Consultant or HR Advisor who is looking to step up into an HR Business Partnering role and broaden their exposure to stakeholder engagement and end‑to‑end HR delivery. This role is based the Toyota Finance Australia’s office at Grosvenor Place office in Sydney, with occasional travel to our Melbourne office as required. How you’ll make an impact Partner closely with designated areas of the business, building strong working relationships with senior leaders and serving as a trusted advisor on both operational and day‑to‑day HR matters. Provide guidance across a range of people topics including employee relations, performance management, engagement, capability development, and the application of policies, procedures, and processes. Support and guide leaders through annual people processes such as performance reviews, engagement surveys, and related initiatives, ensuring consistency and alignment with organisational priorities. Act as the first point of contact for HR‑related enquiries within designated business areas, responding to employee questions on policies, procedures, benefits, and remuneration, with a commitment to timely responses within two business days. Manage employee lifecycle changes such as flexible work arrangements, role changes, and parental leave, ensuring all updates are accurately processed in Workday. Prepare employment contracts and variation letters, and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date employee records and documentation. Support key HR initiatives within the HR Business Partnering function, including the Performance Development (PDP) cycle, annual labour budgeting, engagement surveys, and bi‑annual promotion and rotation processes. Assist with the delivery of these activities in line with established guidelines, ensuring all processes are executed accurately and within required timeframes to meet business needs. Prepare, maintain, and distribute reports for senior leaders as required, including monthly headcount reports and ad hoc compliance reporting. Produce additional reports on request to support broader business and operational needs. Collaborate with senior P&C team members to address and resolve people‑related issues, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, alignment with internal policies, and consistent application of the organisation’s values, including respect for people.
