The Role Our annual Year 10 Black & White Ball is returning, and we're seeking passionate and inspiring dance instructors to join our team. Key Dates & Commitment Schedule: Pre-program choreography: Two full days of dance choreography for 8 dances, scheduled before regular dance lessons begin in July. Exact dates to be determined by the successful Dance Team members. Dance lessons: Held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:00 – 6:00pm over six weeks. Please refer to the schedule below for specific dates. Full rehearsal: All groups will participate in a full rehearsal on Wednesday, 2 September, from 8:30am Location: All choreography and rehearsals will take place at Caulfield Grammar School, Caulfield Campus. Final performance: The Black & White Ball final performance will be on Saturday, 5 September, from 4:30 – 10:30pm at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. Teach and adapt movement and performance skills across various styles, including presentation, body language, and musical theatre. Plan, direct, and coordinate rehearsals and small-scale performances to ensure participants are confident and performance-ready. Monitor participant progress, engagement, and wellbeing, providing constructive feedback to support skill development. Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and professional Black & White Ball program culture that fosters teamwork, confidence, and enjoyment. Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours. Skills and Experience Proven ability to inspire and motivate participants, helping them achieve their best performance outcomes. Strong teaching experience in dance or performance Experience designing, directing, and delivering structured rehearsal programs and choreography.
