About the Position: The Chef plays an essential role in the kitchen at Mr Wellington Perth Grill, responsible for preparing and executing our Modern Australian menu with a focus on flavour, presentation, and consistency. You will contribute to delivering high-standard dishes, including our signature Beef Wellington and grill items, while working efficiently as part of a tight-knit team to ensure smooth service and uphold our reputation for quality dining experiences. Key Responsibilities: Preparing and cooking Modern Australian dishes with a focus on grilled items, seasonal specials, and signature dishes such as Beef Wellington using fresh seasonal ingredients and precise techniques. Maintaining the highest standards of food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency across all services. Adhering to all food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation procedures in line with Australian regulations. Collaborating with the kitchen team to manage orders efficiently during peak service periods. Monitoring and managing kitchen inventory, minimising waste while maintaining quality. Assisting with menu planning, development of daily specials, and preparation for special functions as required. Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen workspace. Providing guidance to junior kitchen staff where required. Requirements: Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification. Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience working as a Chef in a restaurant environment. Strong technical cooking skills, particularly in Modern Australian cuisine and grill techniques. Excellent organisational and time management abilities to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen. Strong teamwork and communication skills with a positive attitude. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
