The Careers are Better at Hungry Jack's! We are seeking a Design Manager to join our internal Design Team at Hungry Jack’s on a parental leave contract of approximately 18 months. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of new restaurant projects and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, commercially effective designs across the network. You will be responsible for managing the design process for new Hungry Jack’s restaurants, working closely with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and franchise partners. This role requires a proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced FMCG/QSR environment. Key Responsibilities: As a Design Manager you will: Manage the design process across multiple projects from concept through to construction. Prepare and issue design briefs to external architects and consultants. Review consultant documentation to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with Hungry Jack’s brand standards. Coordinate with Development Managers, Operations, Construction, and external stakeholders to achieve successful site outcomes. Prepare and review documentation for Development Applications, tenders, and construction stages. Respond to design-related queries during documentation and construction phases. Contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and processes, including décor and customer experience initiatives. About you: Tertiary qualifications in Architecture or a related design discipline. 3 to 6 years experience in a similar role, ideally within retail, hospitality, or multi-site environments. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar). Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused mindset. Confident communicator who can work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
