The Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Category Manager – Soft Services to join Crown’s Procurement team in a senior, enterprise wide role. This position provides strategic leadership across Facilities Management, Security, Waste and Support Operations categories, shaping long term procurement strategies that support Crown’s operational excellence across Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. The role is accountable for developing multi year category strategies, leading complex sourcing and commercial negotiations, and driving sustainable value creation. Acting as a trusted commercial advisor to operational leaders, you will balance national category scale with local site priorities while embedding strong governance, innovation and risk management practices. Key responsibilities include: Developing and executing multi year category strategies aligned to Crown’s business and operational objectives Leading complex sourcing, negotiations, contract development and commercial modelling to optimise cost and service outcomes Establishing Crown wide service frameworks, standards, KPIs and performance measures across Soft FM and Support Operations Driving supplier innovation, sustainability and ESG outcomes across waste, cleaning, security and support services Translating market insights, risk signals and cost drivers into actionable commercial strategies About You This role suits an experienced category management leader with strong commercial judgement and the confidence to operate as a strategic procurement advisor within complex operational environments. You bring the ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage strategic supplier relationships and deliver disciplined commercial outcomes across large, multi site portfolios. You are comfortable balancing strategy with operational realities, leading end to end sourcing activity while embedding strong governance, risk and safety considerations throughout the procurement lifecycle.
